Help with myDlink lite app...

I have DCS-932LB1 camera installed H/W ver:B2 & F/B ver.:2.1.7  and  works OK with my WiFi network only. So I have a couple of questions:
1) Does the app work from any WiFi network I can connect to?
2) I see a LOCAL and a REMOTE button. Only the local works? What  does the REMOTE do?

1. Yes
2. Local will connect only to cameras that are on the WiFi network you are connected to. Remote will (try to) connect to all mydlink devices attached to your account so you can view your cameras from anywhere, not just your local network.
