Title: Defective Port 1??
Post by: hsantos on November 29, 2012, 10:25:26 PM
I have two DNS-343. On one of my DNS-343 lately its always resyncing.
Giving me errors on the hardisk port 1.

I already swap the drive three times. Everytime is the same patern:
1- Swap drive
2- sync for 2 days
3- Work ok for 1-2 days
4- Error drive 1
5- back to #1

On both DNS im using FW 1.06
Both are set with Seagate 2TB drives (4X)

Any idea? What can I do to troubleshoot??

Thanks

How are the HDDs configured (RAID-1, RAID-5, etc.)?

They where set in RAID 5

Since I spent some time at the hospital my DNS-343 is still out of service since then!

If you would like to troubleshoot whether HDD bay-1 (I presume this is what you mean by Port 1) is defective, then you can try formatting a HDD in bay-1 in standard configuration. This approach will exclude all dependencies on the other three bays, other HDDs, and shared logical array.
