Title: DCS-932L B Motion Detection
Post by: runner_bean on December 29, 2019, 12:08:05 PM
After years of good experience using a DCS-933L for monitoring visitors to my front door using motion detection I purchased a DCS-932L B (the DCS-933L seems to be discontinued) to increase coverage.  However it's not been successful so far.  The 932L has a brighter and sharper image than the 933L but is far more sensitive to changes in ambient light level (e.g. overhead cloud movements) so however low I set the sensistivity it is triggered by the slightest change in lighting leevl.  The 993L sails though this.  I have the 932L and 933L sitting side by side lookimg at the same view and the 933L only triggers with passing people or vehicles whilst the 932L is triggered by the slightest change in light level which means I get get flooded with emails and is unusable.

I can't find an image setting that helps and would much appreciate advice.

Many thanks

Check the FW. Ensure it's using the latest version on the 932L.
