Title: DIR-868L & Server 2008 R2 Issues
Post by: tweberis on September 16, 2013, 11:09:47 PM
I bought two DIR-868L routers today. I am upgrading from DIR-855. I have cloned the mac, set all my rules etc. so that everything is flawless.

However when I switch over to it, my win2008 R2 server (Running DHCP/DNS) cannot ping any ip address except localhost and it's static. All other machines can ping the 08 R2 box fine. My clients are getting their DHCP addresses etc fine. Clients are unable to resolve hostnames (but can ping IP's) due to 08 R2 unable to do any DNS.

I thought it could be the off chance of a bad driver, did a driver update, same issue. Reset ipv4, ipv6, winsock, clear cache and rebooted. No change. Factory defaulted and tried again, failed. Update firmware to 1.02 , failed. Un-boxed second router, repeated process, same problem.

Now when I switch back to my 855, as soon as I plug it in, everything works instantly. There is no reason for this to be an issue.
