Need to file a bug report on this version of FW.
Scheduling and highlighting nothing in the schedule, Saving the rule as DisableWiFi, applying the configuration, then going to Wireless and setting it to use this schedule is not disabling the wifi SSID. I'm seeing the SSID still listed on my device as an available SSID to connect too.

Think D-Link should review the schedule feature for most of the router products. Though some models, this works, seem to find it doesn't in others.  ???
I was using Mac Book Pro 2008 OSX 10.11, Opera browser.

I believe there maybe another bug on this FW for the DIR-878.
I can't get OPEN NAT status on xbox one game console when connected to this model router. STRICT NAT is always reported by the game consoles using uPnP:

Good news, I downgraded to v1.10 and now I have both xbox one consoles on OPEN NAT.  Default configuration, uPnP only. No Port Forwarding. ;D

I think v1.12 has a problem.  :-\

I re-upgraded back to v1.12. Single xbox shows moderate NAT now, even after doing a hard power OFF of the console and rebooting the router.  :-\

Ive asked D-Link to submit a bug report.

I'll be downgrading back to v1.10 for now.

Same problem with v1.11. I just loaded it and turned on just 1 xbox. NAT was moderate and it also said that uPnP connection had failed. I reverted back to v1.10.

Furry,
HQ tested with multiple topologies and got open NAT using your config file with 1.12B01 (except when connecting to another router they got mixed open and moderate).

Are you connecting the 878 directly to the modem?

Are there any settings in the cable modem that you changed?

Yes the 878 is DIRECTLY behind the modem. Modem is a cable modem only, no built in router. There is nothing between the 878 and modem.

Both game consoles are directly LAN cable connected to the back of the 878.

No update. They cannot replicate the issue.

Hmm well two of us here can. Wonder where the discrepancy is.  :-\ v1.12 is useless to gamers.  :(

oh, they wanted to remote access into your router.  You wanna let them? They probably won't be able to until Sunday night/early monday morning if you want.

I'll have to put it back online since I'm not using it currently.  ::) I can probably do that Sunday night. I presume that they want v1.12 loaded on it? I think I ended up back at v1.10 after trying v1.11.  ???

Well trying to prioritize that and the use of the "other" router.  ;)

Sunday night is fine, will be best time has most people go to bed by 9pm and nobody using the internet. I presume they need Remote Management enabled?

Kewl. Yeah open remote management. I would enable HTTPS and put in a custom port. PM me your IP, username and pw, and port.

Ok, so I can't seem to reproduce the NAT issue with v1.12.
This time I first did a factory reset, loaded v1.12 on top of v1.10, factory reset once more, then setup from scratch. Now both game consoles are OPEN NAT at the networking dashboard.  ;D

I hard powered them both off and swapped which one was turned on first. OPEN NAT for both still.  ::)

I believe last time I didn't start out with a reset, I think I applied v1.12 on top of v1.10 then continued. I thought at one point I did do a factory reset after v1.12 was applied as well. Or possibly the change in cable modems since last time I had the 878 online may have been a factor as well, however I doubt it.
Even if I did a factory reset upon last v1.12 load and setup from scratch, any FW issues should have been cleared out. I also believe that loading v1.12 over v1.10 and not doing a reset may have given false results, however, v1.10 has worked for both game consoles getting OPEN NAT, and applying v1.12 over v1.10 and continuing with out a reset caused one console to get Moderate NAT, then I would think there is some forum of a application issue with updating to v1.12 over v1.10 which seems to cause one game console to not get OPEN NAT on v1.12 when both did on v1.10.  :-\

I'll run this this week with both consoles and see how things go. I'll probably recommend that if users are using this model router and have two game consoles, factory reset, load v1.12, then do one more factory reset and setup from scratch. This would keep the system and uPnP in working order for multiple game consoles. My 878 is slated to go to Bro In Law house and he's getting ready to setup internet this week so I'll probably not be able to test with this model again.

HOWEVER, I have found another bug in v1.12 I believe with the wifi button in back which i'll post about in a new post.  ::)

If i can add :

I did the factory reset > load 1.12 >> factory reset right before i created my thread.
Two consoles both hardwired to the 878. One PS4 Pro and other Xbox One X. The PS4 sticks to NAT Type 2 in settings and Open within games. But the Xbox 1X loses open nat and goes to moderate or strict overnight when left in Instant On mode.
Tried energy saving mode on the 1X and it gets open nat the next day on bootup but then the PS4 loses it's open NAT. No portforwarding whatsover done. Let me know if you guys need any further info although furry should have most of my details

Both of my xbox ones have Instant ON disabled. I didn't test with it ON since i know of the erratic behaviors it can cause like this. I'll check on the console NAT this evening and see if anything has changed. I did do a hard reset on both consoles after turning them and on checking NAT then holding the power button until they turned off. Clears any caches out of there system.
NAT Type 2 is what is expected for PS with a router in the mix.

Possible for you to factory reset > load 1.12 >> factory reset and test again to see if your still experiencing the same problem with both of your consoles? May ask you to setup remote management and let someone at D-Link review your router settings. Also please do a save router config to file and we'll have you send it to someone at D-Link for review as well.

I'll check mine again tonight and see if anything has changed since Sunday nite.

When you say "next day on bootup but then the PS4 loses it's open NAT", is this on the PS networking dashboard or in game? If in game, what game is it that you see this?
