I do not know about the NA part.
I bought my DIR-868L in Denmark, Europe where I live.
I installed the non Facebook version a couple of days after release.
No issues so far,
-
Yes, the WW would be the correct version for your region.
Glad it's working. Enjoy. ;)

Hello, I come from México, wich one is for me? Thx.
-
If your regional D-Link web site does not have a specified FW update then you should use the WW version of v1.10.
If you choose to update, please use the following: Link>>FW Update Process (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=42457.0)

I've been running version 1.10 B04 - NA for some time now. It works well with my settings.

Good to hear. Hope it continues to work well.

Hey, Since my ISP upgraded me to 100/3 earlier this month, I've been going thru and connecting some of my routers I've collected to see how they work with the new speed. I noticed that with the 868L, if I have QoS enabled and set the strict priority and set 100Mb for Downlink and 5 for Uplink preset, any wired speeds tests resulting seeing 30-40Mb max. I ensured that my testing was all wired and even connected directly to the 868L with my mac. Still could not get 100Mb. I then disabled QoS entirely and was able to get 100mb. Could there be a problem in FW that is reducing the speed rate? I presume if I set the max preset value allowed by the QoS I should be seeing close to 100Mb for speed tests? I tested with my reserved IP with in a rule I have that sets all ports and Normal and High Priority. I tried even with the IP not included in the rule and still noticed the slower speed.

Odd that you can't get any sites to load with QoS enabled. I'm wondering where the problem is. All was good the last time I had mine one line full time, however that was a long while ago and I was on 50/3 at the time. ??? Only thing that's been changed is the ISP modem which works fine on my other routers. The upgrade in speed is the only thing that's changed.
Side note: Possible ISP speed and QoS threshold point where QoS may not be needed at these higher speeds. I'll check some other routers with similar QoS engines I have and post the results. However I would point out that the highest preset for this model router is 100mb and I presume when set and enabled, we should be seeing speed tests on or near 100Mb.

Checked today with my Windows 7 PC connected to the 868L v1.09FW (released web site) connected to my 890L in it's DMZ. All LAN wired
QoS disabled:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/4821867768.png) (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4821867768)
QoS enabled Strict Weighted and presets set to 5 and 100:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/4821874416.png) (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4821874416)
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/4821876910.png) (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4821876910)
Upon checking other web pages, they fail to load in Opera and IE. However speedtest.net tests are working. ???
Disabling QoS on the 868L results in web site access in all browsers.
Enabled QoS and disabling DNS Relay, web pages loaded. However, my 868L testing is with the 868L connected to the DIR-890L and in it's DMZ. Having BiggShooter retest with his 868L as main host router and disable DNS Relay and check web pages.

Please test with QoS enabled, Use Strict Priority, and set your UP and Down speeds in the presets. Test with DNS Relay enabled and disabled and post the speed results please. Thank you.

Just updated my buddys 868L router to v1.10WW from v1.04:
Has same model Motorola SB 6121 cable modem as I do. 100/10 ISP
Before enabling QoS:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/4846333919.png) (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4846333919)
After Enabling QoS:
(http://www.speedtest.net/result/4846322673.png) (http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/4846322673)
Seems like this was introduced sometime after v1.04 possibly.
Update: Been told a fix will be forth coming for this issue on the 868L. Yay. ;D No timeframe on when it will be released. Be patient and check the main web site here and there for updates.

I get about a 33% drop in in my Download speed when QoS is enabled with 1.09. What the hell is going on?
-
After several failed attempts to contact FuryNutz to confirm the status of a firmware fix for the QoS issue (all of which were ignored) I decided to contacted DLINK support directly. They are aware of the issue, however, they are not working on a firmware update to fix it.
Looks like we are out of luck.

If you had looked closer to my updated post, your question was answered:

I will re-confirm what I was told. Can you try loading v1.07 and test?

You updated your post two weeks after I asked you for confirmation. By that point I had given up trying to reach you and contacted DLINK support directly.
I have tried all firmware versions and each is having the QoS problem. The customer support rep. I talked to at DLINK said they are aware of the problem, but that they are not working on a fix for it.
-
They may be not working at this time on it and may later on. I'll re-confirm.
Thanks.

No, I was told directly that they are not working on a fix. They may work on one later, however, at this time they are not.

No, it's under review with D-Link from I'm told and one last FW update should be forth coming before EOL.
The problem is only seen with ISP speeds 100Mb ISP speeds. Users with 100Mb ISP speeds and above should disable QoS until further notice.

Who told you this? The customer support rep I spoke to said they were aware of the problem but that they were not working on a fix. It sounds like you are speculating.

I'm not sure how you came to believe this, but my connection is only 55 Mb and I have the problem.
-
I think the cut off problem is at 50. I have a friend w 40mb ISP and his works. I have contact w D-Link.

No, it's under review with D-Link from I'm told and one last FW update should be forth coming before EOL.
The router is now EOL and what a surprise...no fix. Like I said, DLINK wasn't working on a fix for the QoS issue. You where speculating that a fix was coming, and now we can be certain that one never will.
-
Working on getting GPL code for rev As. Until then:

Care to try v1.12?

I just finished testing the new 1.12 firmware. The problem still exists on my 55/5 connection. Enabling QoS results in a 18-20% drop in connection speed.
Like I said before, DLINK wasn't working on a fix for the QoS issue.

This forum thread is now closed due to EoL for the DIR-868L. Been a good router.
Thanks for all the user input.
Users can load 3rd party FW if for continued use as a router:
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53989.msg270106#msg270106 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=53989.msg270106#msg270106)
Other good uses for the 868L, Wireless Bridge mode or LAN to LAN AP mode.
Good Luck.
