Recording issues + DDNS
« on: November 28, 2016, 12:50:22 AM »

Recording:
- i have setup 24hours recording to my sd card. at first i used 32gb, but the recording stops after a while and the SD card is not accessible through the web portal (Unavailable or Not formatted). it seem to be more stable with 8 or 16gb card used, it still stops recording but on longer intervals.... I am sure it's not a fault card here as i have changed many for test.

Dynamic DNS:
I have registered for a free hostname on no-ip.com. what is the server address i should put? dynupdater.no-ip.com? what about the timeout?
anyway, i am still not getting dynamic updates from it on the latest IP....

Can anyone help here?

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your DCS? Look at the sticker behind or under the camera.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the DCSs web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

What Mfr and model is the main host router?

Dear all,

Issue resolved.

Cause: poor quality (non-branded) / non-compatible SD cards.

Glad you figured it out. What brand of SD cards did you get that works?

Thanks for letting us know what the problem was. You might check the support site of any information of kinda SD cards to use as well for compatibility.
