Title: DCS-930L alert about disconnection. Hacked?
Post by: Sommar45 on May 14, 2014, 02:22:14 AM
Hi, I wonder why my DCS-930L keeps sending alert messages about that the unit has been disconnected, even when I have not been online live through the app or through the webpage?
The camera is still active and register movements when this happens, so it's obviously not disconnected and the green LED is not blinking.

It happens several times a day.
The camera is constantly on and these "disconnected" alerts comes unregulary.

Is Dlink "listening" through the Android app or what?

I use wired cable and have the latest firmware and the camera works just fine besides from this worrying issue.

Thank you!

Are you referring to messages through the mydlink mobile app? Is the DCS-930L registered with the mydlink mobile app?

Turn off notifications in the app?

Yes, I'm referring to the message that comes from the Android Dlink mobile app.

The camera is online. No action going on at all - but then all of a sudden I get a message from the app that the camera has been disconnected, as if someone HAS been online watching online for a while and then goes offline.

Same thing happend even when I was using wireless, as well now with cable.
