update:

I have reset to factory settings without success. When I unplug my printer and go to status page:

Manufacturer:  None
Product:  None

[Clear Print Queu(s)]

when I reattach my printer via USB:

Manufacturer:  Canon
Product:  MP510

NO CLEAR PRINT QUEU BUTTON!

I would love to blame my printer for this, but I was able to print in 1.09 and could print until recently in 1.10 beta.

The beta bittorrent client is pretty unstable.  I get "unable to connect to server" errors too often.  Never got one with the stable build.

I appreciate that there are all sorts of fixes\changes that have people interested in 1.10.

For me it's all about suport for AFT 2TB drives.

Has anyone tested 1.10 (release 06) and confirmed that the AFT issue is gone?

I'm dying to replace a tiny 250GB drive with a huge 2TB, I'd do it today if I knew the AFT issue had been resolved.

I'm trying to avoid going through another format when the offical 1.10 comes out (no idea when that is by the way??), as I'd have to find somewhere to store it's data while re-doing the format and set-up again.

The 1.10 build 06 beta version has not been released, why has got me beat. 1.10 build 05 beta version has been released. Here are the beta release notes. http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=5485.0

In this post http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=14777.msg123079#msg123079 it states "I have another version of beta build 06 that is going through lab testing. We expect it to release officially early april if no major issues are found."

Like I said, give us a URL to download 1.10 build 06 beta version. It is like asking a kid if they want an ice cream and telling them they can't have it for a month. Not a good relationship building strategy.

The answer seemed obvious to me. The b06 build is in Lab testing before being released in April.

Released as a full version in April not a beta version. What I am asking is why not release it as a beta.

Build 06 will release today or tomorrow hopefully as BETA so that you can use it. It is on my to-do list but I am also launching 2 products this week so its at the back of the list.

Let me ask you this - where is the data NOW?

Just so that you get where I'm coming from - you have a 250GB drive in the unit now, and you're dying to replace that with a 2TB drive.

If you already have the 2TB drive with data on it, you're going to need to find someplace to put that data, whether you do it tomorrow with the 1.10 build 5, or you do it a week from now with the 1.10 build 6 - you can wait impatiently and twiddle your thumbs, or you can can move forward with the project, which may work, or may have to be put on hold, in which case you wait impatiently and twiddle your thumbs.

Option 1 gets you nowhere, option 2 might get you where you want to be now, and if it doesn't you get to wait - and the data remains where ever it is right now.

I loaded 1.10 beta 05 on after 1.09.

Observations. PS3 media server function no longer operational.

Faster to see the directories but nothing in them. Numerous refreshes and reboots to no avail. Also note that Seems to be some problem with PS3 indicating at time protocol errors.

reverted back to 1.09. Noted that it seems buggy. DNS323 not always found.

reverted back to 1.08b09 and find it is working perfectly.

Also noted that the gui freezes at times on 1.10. Periodically wanting to do rebuild of drive in RAID which was not happening on 1.08b09

Drive access at times ridiculously slow as if it were running on a 10Mbit lan. Running gigabit.

On a positive note Windows 7 sees DNS 323 properly in DLNA. Not reliable in other versions.

Let me ask you this - where is the data NOW?

I have around 500GB of data spread all over the place, on my laptop, on low capacity external drives. I've been wanting to consolidate everything on my NAS box but held off because of the AFT issue.

If I clear the small 250GB drive, replace it with the brand new empty 2TB, upgrade the firmware, reset to factory settings, format, shift the 250GB back (which I'll store on a mates 1TB ext drive) + the 500GB. And then find in 2 weeks that the beta release hasn't fixed the AFT issue, I'll have 750GB of data on the new drive that will need to come off again so I can upgrade and re-format.

I just wanted to know if the AFT has been resolved and tested by Users.
From notes for 1.10 rel 05 it sounds like it has, just wanted to hear from and end user.

Thanks for the update. Will us 4K sector people need to reformat?

Will there ever be 3TB drive support? I purchased the 323 and 2x 3TB drives to be horrified that it doesn't support them fully, yet it is listed no where a max drive capacity without checking the firmware revisions (which I didn't).

Can any mod confirm in 1.10 3TB size support otherwise I need to return this device ASAP and look for one that does.

Thanks!
