Title: <SOLVED> DNS-323 factory reset not working
Post by: derek_gruending on May 13, 2012, 08:05:25 PM
I've tried the reset button held down for 15 seconds, 20, 30, 40 seconds, etc.  Not working, anything else I can try?

EDIT: figured it out.  It actually needs the reset button pushed on while the unit is on for it to work.

The following reset procedure will completely restore the default settings on the product including password.

TAKEN FROM D-LINK WEBSITE:
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.

Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.

Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.

Step 4 Release the Reset button.

Step 5 The device is now at factory defaults.

Does this mean a return to factory settings and firmware that was when the device is purchased, for example 1.3, no matter that you put in the meantime firmware 1.10?

Firmware stays at the version that it was before reset.
Only the configuration settings are reset.
