[RESOLVED] Email Alerts Do Not Work When Static IP is Set

Test email and email alerts works when DHCP Client button is set but not when static IP is assigned.  FW = Beta 1.08.

They do - provided the ip address details are set correctly - are you entering the gateway & DNS entries?

Without the DNS entry your DNS-323 has no way to resolve the mail server addresses, although you could enter them as ip addresses, and without the gateway, it does not know how to reach any host off of your network.

Thanks for the help fordem.  For some reason the gateway entry and the DNS entry reverted to a default value.  I have changed them to the proper settings and all is working now.  :)

Cheers and Happy New Year to you.

I'm having this same issue!

My Gateway and DNS are both pointing to my router, yet I still get this issue.

Any ideas?
