DCS 932L Wifi Disconnection Issue
« on: May 24, 2014, 11:05:30 AM »

Hello. I have positioned 4 DCS 932L with latest firmware on a specific centre wall of my house in such angles  that cover 4 different rooms.

I have disconnection issues from 2 of them every about 3-5 minutes for about 1 minute. They are on same power extension as other 2 that have no disconnection issues. Wifi is 802.11N from Access Point with signal power 85-100% from these 2 cameras that disconnect using Wifi Survey option. All 4 cameras are placed at about 30cm from each other.

Furthermore UPNP is enabled on all 4. Channel 11 with no interference, Cameras reset to factory default, upgraded to latest firmware, static ip assigned.

Can anybody please assist ?

Is it possible to put each (or two) of the cameras on a different channel?
Actually, to test first, do the two disconnecting cameras do the same thing if the other two are off?

I already tried all non-overlaping 2.4Ghz channels. 1,6,11 using 1 AP. No difference
I already tried using 2nd AP with different channnel on the 2 disconnecting cameras to check this solution you proposed. No difference.
+Ping time of these 2 disconnecting cameras - when connected is very good <10ms

During disconnection, ping is not replying + camera has red light on it

Did you try temporarily disabling the two cameras that are working to rule them out as a possible cause?

As you you can see, all cameras have ping time <25ms which is actually pretty good !
Why these 2 cameras disconnect is blowing my mind..

I am starting to believe its either hardware fault since all cameras have the latest firmware...

3rd and 4th cameras next to them no disconnections:

Moved cameras to different locations. No disconnections.
Seems that camera fought periodically for WiFi and that caused cameras to disconnect..
