I don't know if you are still having the password issue with your dcs-2630L camera, but I'll add my knowledge for future reference.
This worked for my dcs-2630 but may or may not work on your camera.
First, have the camera within 5 to 10 feet of the router.
Connect an android smartphone to router wifi.
Have mydlink lite app running and signed in on the phone.
Select local, as the camera connection on phone.
Then plug in the camera power, then with a paper clip hold in the reset button for 30 seconds, then release the reset button, wait about 1 to 3 minutes for the camera to stop flashing its lights, then set router to accept wps , ( pushing the wps button on your router for 5 seconds may work also. )
Within 5 seconds of the router wps push and hold the camera wps button for 5 seconds, then released the button. Wait for camera lights to turn solid green on camera, might take about 1 to 3 minutes .
Then on the phone, click the reload or refresh icon on the mydlink lite app (you still need to be on local).
(On the phone app)
Click on add new camera, click NO for qr code, click on DCS-2630L. Click yes about wps, click next, click next again, click Ready.
Wait about 1 to 3 minutes while the app thinks.
The app should then ask if you want to set a new camera password, enter your new password (no spaces or symbols only letters and numbers).
Click enter or yes, ((I don't remember)).
The app should think about 1 minute, then it will say that the camera timezone is set from phone.
Then the app will ask to associate the camera with your dlink account, click yes.
The camera should now work somewhat better, if at all.
If you can, you should also update the camera firmware if its possible.
This process may take a few attempts. And you may need to also unplug and plug back in your router power at some point if needed.
Thats what worked for me anyways.
