I didn't say Disable 40Mhz, I said disable HT20/40Mhz...This deals with the Good Neighbor Policy.

The router does 300Mb for me and my devices:

Other issues could surround your environment and configurations that could be leading you to false negatives.

This is a alternative suggestion and of course would take another purchase, however one could turn off the WiFi on the 657 and connect one of these as better WiFi solution if users wanted to keep the 657 as they main router:

There is only 20/40MHz and 20MHz.

So, when you say disable 20/40MHz then you imply to me, that I shall use 20MHz. Because there is no "40MHz"

No... "HT20/40Mhz Co-existence"

Go under Advanced/Advanced Wireless...Do you see a "HT20/40Mhz Co-existence" displayed there? It may not be seen depending on your FW version.

I put my 657 back online last nite after it not being online for a while. I'm using single mode N, WPA2/AES only, HT20/40 Co-existence and Short GI disabled. Auto Channel Scan and Width. I have my DAP-1533 bridged connected to the 657. The DAP has a wired xbox 360 connected to it about 12 feet away with one wall in between.

I played for about 2.5 hours last nite. Was not disconnected and had a good time playing Ghosts.

Any status on this?  ???

Actually, nothing is resolved.
When you chose only tkip the router goes to 802.11g. No 802.11n happens.

So, the reason the Wifi-Router get's this error, because he can't really handle 802.11n.
So, with this you own a Wifi-N-Router that can't handle Wifi-N, so you have to bring him back to g.
But then, what for did I buy a Wifi-N-Router if I can use n?
