Title: DIR-601 small setup
Post by: Chippy on December 24, 2013, 08:57:39 AM
Hi, I have a small apt. My network is a desktop and a smartphone. Im currently getting 65Mbs on the wifi which seems to be good. My cable modem seems to transmit a lot more than when I have it connected to the desktop directly. Is the router too busy for a small network?

Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations

Wired speeds will alway be faster than wireless speeds. Also refer to your wireless devices on what modes and speeds they run on. Not all devices support speeds faster than wired devices.

What wireless device do you have?

Recommended Wireless settings on router you could try is Mixed G and N or Single mode N, WPA2/AES only.
