Recover Volume1-1 from accidential formatting
« on: February 09, 2013, 10:25:09 PM »

Hi,
I hade 2 1.5 GB drives working fine in Raid1 as Volume1-1. They are full. So I added 2 2GB drives, went into advanced, configured the new ones as Raid 1 again, thinking i will get a Volume2 or so. Now I cant see Volume1-1 anylonger. Presumably the old disks have been formatted as well? Help?
Thm.

You can try mounting one of the original data volumes in a Windows PC for recovery:DNS-343 - Data Recovery (Windows PCs).

Do you have a backup of your data? Please keep in mind that RAID-1 is not considered a backup for the reasons explained in the following FAQ post: ShareCenter - RAID-1 is NOT a Backup
