Hello
I've just replaced a broken 1210-08p with an identical switch but I can't access the management from outside the switch.
Cable plugged directly to the switch gives me access to management web ui
No VLANs is set up,only defualt (vlan1) and I can see the switch's Mac adress in the network.
A packet capture of a ping to the switch's IP shows no ARP response from the switch
What am I missing?! Is the switch broken or am I?
Pfsense router -> 1210-24 -> 1210-16 -> 1210-08p (the one I can't access)
Traffick flows as expected from the switch but I can't access it from outside the switch

Any progress on this?

Unfortunately not. Any ideas?

Managed switches are not my area of expertise. I'll see if I can get some additional eyes on this to help you out.

Is the IP address set differently from the other switches? Try different ports?
Try using the D-link Network Assistant tool to auto-detect.

This is the same issue from this post: http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=73971.0
Regarding the same model and up-linked to a 1210-16 as well. Unless you are the same user from Germany.
Try default settings on the 1210-16 and 1210-8P except the IP addresses. If issue persist, then there must something incompatible between those two models. You may need to speak to Technical Support and ask them to replicate the issue.
