DLink DWA-131 connectivity
« on: November 30, 2016, 05:18:11 PM »

Hi Folks,

I have a problem connecting my DLink DWA-131 wireless nano USB adapter that I am using on my MAC since my native AirPort has stopped working.

I am able to connect to networks that only need me to key in the network password. However, I am unable to connect to the network at my university that requires both a username log on and a password. I also cannot connect to other networks that require a username and password such as Eduroam.

Can the DLink DWA-131 support connection to such networks on a Mac?

Thanks,
Jim.

The 131 works on older version of OSX. Not sure about newer versions.
I guess Rev E of the 131 does:
"DWA-131 Wireless N Nano USB adapter
Utility Version: 5.0.1.B3
Hardware: E1
Date: 2016/03/14
Driver:
MAC OS 10.7 - 1830.2.b9.12252015
MAC OS 10.8 - 1830.2.b9.12252015
MAC OS 10.9 - 1830.2.b9.12252015
MAC OS 10.10 - 1830.2.b9.12252015
MAC OS 10.11 - 1830.2.b9.12252015"

I don't see Sierra listed though...
