What the f*** this router has preinstalled audio drivers???? they are part of the Ubicom uClinux that is in there...

learned here:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=30737&sid=a8fbcfe6661237d418beadfd521a2969

also it would appear that the DGL-4500, DIR-655, DIR-660, and DIR-855 are all the same processor family, all printed on the same PCB layout.

Just part of the SDK stuff that Ubicom does. The core code was used in many applications. Nothing and end user can use though.

1. i almost clicked "remove topic" accidentally, that would have been upsetting.

2. you say "SDK" where can i find this?

3. i have a feeling that if i can create a COM port by wiring into that 2x5 pin option on the PCB that i can fix it.  And open a grand opportunity for the user to further push this router by us users.

4. any ideas as to where to look for more development options?  Maybe DLink has declassified the secrets to the PCB?  Any way to start up a petition for an "Advanced User" service? something like, "Jail breaking" the DGL-4500?
