p2p folder missing in file explorer
« on: January 03, 2012, 01:10:56 PM »

Hello all,

I have a interesting dilemma, I cannot see my P2P folder in the windows file explorer (win XP)? It vanished today when my router got jammed so I rebooted it, after this I could not find it anymore. It's there I know, I can see it through the Web File Server.  ???

I tried almost everything I could think of, different usernames, disconnecting and reconnecting etc...

I can work with the Web File Explorer but I would like to see the folder also via the normal explorer. So please help!

P2P folder will now appear as Shared Folder in firmware 2.02, just enable the service and it will appear.

Tried that, even downloaded some new torrents but the folder keeps on being missing. Also tried the disabling the encryption which was mentioned in the firmware 2.02 sticky thread with no help.

I have the same issue. I wonder if it has to do with the wishlist statement (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41109.150)

"P2P - Security - Lock access to P2P folder when mapping networked drives to other users on network [FIXED!]"

Did you guys try doing a "reset to factory default settings" after firmware upgrade?

I did try "reset to factory default settings" after firmware upgrade. Still I can't see P2P folder when I map the volume to network drive in windows.

I had the same problem with this firmware, you can't access P2P, BUT normally you can acces to the sub-folders (complete, incomplete, torrent) with the explorer, so just try to create a shortcut for each one of these folders, it works pretty well on mine.

If resetting doesn't work then simply create a new Shared Folder pointing to P2P folder.

I think I modified i account management and changed the settings to read/write account. In default it stood on "anonymous none" I also deleted all torrents from the download list and the rebooted the device and there it was again. (a new one though so i had to use the webbrowser to move the already downloaded files. Took like forever) I also unchecked a box "oplocks" . Hope it will work.
