2330L Partially disconnects (resolved)
« on: April 04, 2016, 09:32:22 AM »

I spent a few hours with no results. (reset/reload/reset/reload etc)     :'(
The image keeps disconnecting after minutes to max 1 hour. The camera is still accessible on IP and a 'reset image parameters' or 'restore config from file' does bring it back - most of the time.
The 2 x DCS2330L rev A1 have the same symptoms since FW 1.12, they are connected on 2 different APs with reasonable signal strength, on static IP, uPNP, port forwarding etc... The 4 x DCS2132 on the same APs have no issue.   :-\
It is a PAIN to dismount, unplug, reset/reconfigure etc.. these outdoor cameras. Everything is slow and takes time.
When I will have the motivation, I will go back to 1.02 firmware, live with some bugs and a non-operational 'mydlink.com' service ('camera firmware need to be updated')  Until then, the DCS2330L are useless.

Any news from D-Link, this issue should be easy to reproduce ?    ???

Tks for your message

Did you factory reset the cameras, the manually load FW, then factory reset once more then set up from scratch with out loading any saved config files? YES, although I did reload config files - I will not start again from scratch, all this is SO TIME-CONSUMING

Are the 2330Ls online with the other 4 cameras at the same time?? YES, 3 on one AP, 3 on another AP. APs are on different channels and I believe I have not much interference from neighbours

Are these cameras out side or inside in some location? 2xDCS2330L outside, 4xDCS2132L inside

What region are you located? Europe, Belgium

If you can't get v1.12 working, then try v1.02 or the last known working version of FW. Yes, what a pain. Cameras are by definition 'out of reach'

If any of this fails, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email. Not easy from Europe, will have to convince 1st level support that I have tried all obvious options. Not thrilled to spend hours on the phone. My diagnostic is really a fault in the firmware, as the image gets disconnected but access to the config is still possible through IP. And most of the time, the image goes back by resetting the image defaults

Let us know how it goes please. Will do, probably will revert to old firmware and live with its quirks, including inoperant mydlink.com ('pls update your firmware')

Reverted to working firmware 10.07 : no disconnections anymore.
What an unreliable product ! but thank you for responding.
