Error 109 on installation
« on: June 24, 2009, 07:55:28 AM »

I have a 1310 that was working well when using wireless to both a Vista and XP laptop. At the time it was hardwired to an XP desktop computer too.

After 6 months absence I returned and now it won't work wirelessly with either the old or a new Vista PC. It connects for about 5 seconds and then drops off. I haven't tried hardwiring to the XP desktop yet as I don't use that computer any more.

I decided to try the installation disk on my new Vista. It first hung up during the final checking process with an error 102. Resetting it didn't help. I then uninstalled some communication software from the PC (Hawking wireless antenna drivers for USB) and tried reinstalling. Now I get error code 109.

Any ideas?

More info:

The new Vista laptop works fine on other wireless networks using its internal adapter.

I successfully installed the router on the old wired XP PC.

talkin' to myself here.

I solved the problem. I bought a D-link 2310 and it didn't work either. I returned it and bought a Netgear router and no prob.
