On the setup page all zeros for DNS's is normal.  Check your Status Page and make sure you have DNS addresses listed there.  The DNS address on the setup page need to be filled in if you are NOT getting DNS addresses pushed through by your ISP or if you want to use different ones than provided by your ISP.

Ok.....on setup they are all zeros but on status they are filled in. One person says its ok and another says it should be filled in. Which is correct? Where are the advanced DNS settings found that I need to make sure I am not using them. I am sooo close to ditching this router and get a different one.......I am frustrated. When I try and watch the yahoo videos it says sorry video no longer available and tthen locks up for a minute or so. Only yahoo........no other videos. PLays commercials but not videos. What stupid simple setting am I missing?

It's recommended to have them filled in. If it doesn't work then you can always remove them.
I and others have been using this section with the DNS addresses filled in for a long time now and it works well.

Maybe someone can review your router settings with you using teamviewer.

Thanks to everyone who have tried to get my issue solved. Maybe I will figure it out soon. You would think that when I re-set the router it would fix but it did not. Also it seems like my mdem should be a pppoe type connection but it is setup has a DHCP. I have a speedstream modem and a Windstream dsl connection. Is DHCP connection the right thing for this modem/coneection?

If the DSL modem is not in bridged mode then ya you can use DHCP on the router however it's preferred to put the DSL modem in to bridge, then have the 655 use PPPoE.

You can fill them in if you want, but it is NOT necessary to do so.  As long as the numbers are listed on your status page, then you are getting you DNS properly through your ISP.
