Title: DIR-412
Post by: Muwave on August 22, 2010, 11:25:27 AM
Hello,

I don't see a forum for the 412, so I will ask the question here.

I am running a Bell U998 Novatel radio in my 412. From power up it works, but the 3G side fails after a period of time. At that point the status just says disconnected and hitting the reconnect button doesn't do anything. Rebooting doesn't revive it either. I need to cycle the power.

I haven't found any firmware updates.

Thanks.
Allen

Hi Muwave

We are aware that there may be some connection issues with the U998 and the 412, however we already have a new firmware developed and will be releasing it in the next few days to correct this issue.

Thanks.

I have upgraded to the latest beta firmware for the dir-412 Because I have the Nokia CS-18.

It works! ...The first time.  When I unplug the DIR-412 or the CS-18, and restart or re-insert, the CS-18 will not power up.

I reloaded the firmware while it was all together, and it works again!  Unplug, same result.

I tried switching to back and forth  3G to WAN.  It works, but why do I have to do this?

Hi Domino,

Are you using the CS-18 within Canada and if so with which ISP?

We can look into it further here on our end with more information.

Hi AJ

I also can notget the CS-18 to work with the DIR-412 after the Beta firmware upgrade.  I am located in Canada running the CS-18 with Rogers Wireless.

Regards,

Lupthup

Hi AJ,

I have the same problem.  First the stick didn't light up.  I upgraded to BETA and woo hoo it worked!  Now I am up north and when I need it, it doesn't light up!

Did you have to reload the firmware each time, or just flick the WAN switch?

This is frustrating, I bought the Nokia because my ZTE MF636 would self destruct after 15 minutes.

I am on Rogers in CANADA.  What difference does it make what country we are in?

Hi,
I have a DIR-412 rev A1 and  I want to use it with 4G usb modem (ZTE MF833T) also as 3G/HDM modems are no longer supported/working from ISPs , The 4G seems like is not supported on the DIR-412 .
There is a thing I can do that can get it working ,

Thank you
