So.. that's the only change that had been made? How about updating the Transmission to the latest version perhaps?
-
This is a security patch only. No other features or fixes are seen in these patches.

I Just seemingly upgraded my DNS -320L A1 over ethernet from 1.06b03 to the 1.08b06 SMB patch and now the HDD lights are flashing Amber - nothing is working - it can't connect to the router on DHCP so can't even see it on the network to attach to it. . I thought the firmware was compatible with this NAS!
Initially the Power and the two HDD lights start blue as they seem to initialise but when almost ready, both HDD lights flash simultaneously; the power light is still blue.
What I've done... Removed both HDDs, the flashing occurs irrespective of the Disks being present or not. Reset with the reset pin underneath the NAS. There doesn't seem to be any advanced troubleshooting in the manual that tells me what this combination of flashing actually means, plus the new firmware isn't on the DLink UK site but the Dlink US site. Should that make any difference?
Have I bricked it? Any idea how to get it back anyone? Anything is appreciated at this stage...

Does upgrading firmware resets all settings (users, groups, lan, etc.)?
Thnx.
-
Yes. We recommend doing a Save Configuration to File before upgrading FW. After the upgrade, just reload the config file and your configuration will be back in place.

I'm in Brazil, my DNS-320L is hardware version A3, it came with version firmaware1.02 and in 2015 I upgraded to 1:07 (19/10/2015). This security package works perfectly in this version? Has anyone done this procedure and it worked?

I presume you got this file from your regional mydlink site? If so then keep what you have loaded.
I don't have this model DNS and don't use SSH much. You might start a new thread and post that question there.

And what about the A4 version firmware??
-
v1.## is for Rev A model DNS.
And what about the A4 version firmware??
-
Do you mean Rev A## :)
If it is the case I will install. Thanks.
-
v1.## is for ALL Rev A model DNS.

Did you use this version from the German site?
What browser are you using to apply the update? I recommend FF or IE11.

I now used the german version - and now this picture in the GUI.

How is the command to view the version in CI over SSH?

I would use the one from the German site.
