Well, I forget to add "Do not write post 'It is impossible' ". It must be possible, problem is how to do this. How to force firmware 1.3x to read older firmware.

This is not the problem. It would be easy to change the checksum of older firmware and the router will accept it.
But what happens then ?
New firmware has changed format of tables and perhaps of memory usage and partitions.
Older firmware is not intended for a downgrade, so it won't change back these values.

You would have a white UFO with blue flashing lights afterwards. (Throwing it out of the window)

The only way is two write a firmware specially for downgrade, that changes back everything to the older state. This can only be done by the firmware development of D-Link.

So ,someone must be the first one. I do not believe that firmware downgrade will damage router. It make no sense for me. Most likely they want us to force to use v 1.3x. But it is completely unstable version, every 12-16h freeze, DNS forward me every day to securespot(even when disabled), ALG forward error on UDP,TCP,DNS, WAN speed 60%, WiFi unstable, LAN seems to work sometimes strange. My router is like UFO right now, it is only matter of time when I will try to learn it how to fly.

Everything is possible. And perhaps they will grant you your wish. Who knows. But for me the version is very stable. So although some seem to suffer from this issue, this does not mean that it's generically bad.

Yep Dlink is getting close, still 1 or 2 issues, effort shows.

Product Page: DIR-655
Firmware Version: 1.32NA (B3)
Hardware Version: A2

Router unstable. Every 12-16h freeze (require reboot (power off)).

Almost all features are on, except securespot and usbshare.

ALG forward error on TCP,UDP,DNS
WiFi - unstable
LAN - unstable
WAN - slow down
router interface on www - unreachable

See my log from syslog-ng http://www.megaupload.com/?d=L0WK8S3I

I WANT BACK to 1.21 or 1.22 !!!!!!!!!!, I had no such problems before.

Weird. My A2 works perfectly fine. You might consider a reflash+manual config or RMA (on a non-defective machine the firmware should work without issue)

well

I use all features, except usbshare securespot, advanced DNS
If you use router without any features except wan settings, perhaps it is stable for you. Unfortunately I have more than 10 clients, 2 servers with a lot of services(ftp, vpn, voip, www, mysql, proxy, torrent to share new data, software with clients, etc(working on radius to authenticate WiFi clients)).
It is hard to believe that my hardware is broken. It would be miracle that on 1.21 is stable, on 1.3x is zombie.
I had only one reason to upgrade from 1.21, WiFi schedule. In my environment are many WiFi networks, and I need to change every day channels, since 1.21 can't turn-off WiFi between 3am-5am, I had no choice.

According to the D-Link DIR-655 A4 Emulator (http://support.dlink.ca/Emulators/dir655/121/Basic_Wireless.html) 1.21 HAS WiFi schedule options.

So you upgraded for nothing...

Why can't this firmware be downgraded or have this code changed or unlocked. I can't even use the router in current state and it's getting hot. Prior 1.11 it didn't get so hot.  Mount it on the wall or on a table the same results.

Serious question? Or haven't you searched the forum yet? Words to look for: kernel, update
