I can't get my Weather Direct gateway to obtain an address when connected to my router. If anyone is familiar with this, I get the 2 blinking red light that means the gateway is not getting an IP address from the router.
http://www.weatherdirect.com/help/gatewayhelp.aspx
I have talked to technical support from Lacrosse and they have even sent me another gateway, but I get the same two blinking red light.
DHCP is enabled and no other device I have (several - both wired and wireless) has a problem connecting.
What should I be looking at? What can I try?

Have you figured this out yet?? I have the EXACT SAME ROUTER (DIR-65) and the same WeatherDirect Gateway problem....I thought I was going crazy until I saw your post. Please let me know if you found a way to resolve this. I am at a total loss as to how this can be possible?!?!

Are you doing any MAC address filtering on your router?
-
OMG...I didn't even think about that. Yes I was doing MAC address filtering, and I didn't put the MAC of this device in. It is not listed on the device, so I had to turn off MAC Filtering, and then do an ARP -a command in Windows Command Prompt to find the IP of the device as it booted up, and then I could see the MAC address of it. Once I added it to the list and re-enabled MAF, everything worked just fine.....Dang! Thanks for the heads up!

Glad you got it worked out.

Hi:
How do i get the mac address off the arp-a?
-
Open a Command prompt and type arp -a
This will show you all the IP addresses that your computer sees and it also their MAC address.

It shows me 8 addresses and I have only 1 computer 3 of them start 192 2 with 224 1 with 228 1 239 and 1 225 that would be the DNS right? Sorry for the dumb question.
