Question about KRACK
« on: November 01, 2017, 08:55:09 PM »

Hello,

I am wondering if this router is vulnerable to the KRACK exploit.

I am asking because on this link (http://www.dlink.com/mk/mk/support/support-news/2017/october/18/response-to-krack-wpa2-key-reinstallation-attack-security-vulnerability) it is on the list as an affected product.

On the US link it is not. I am just curious what the status is, and if it is affected, when will a firmware updated be released?

Thank you.

I would assume all wireless devices are affected until patches are released and confirmation that it is not affected.

I noticed the US site has no DIR-6xx routers on the list. I will send the link you supplied to the US security guys to update their list and get clarification.

Remember hackers can only use this exploit when in range of your wireless network and ONLY when a device connects or disconnects to the network (i.e. a reboot or when a device first connects to your network).
