I'm having trouble uploading the latest firmware for the C1, version 06-14-11-r17201.

I get the message "The uploaded firmware file may not be correct. You may have uploaded a file that is not intended for this device, or the uploaded file may be corrupted."

Yup, that's what I get.

I see the power icon that will change to a solid orange and then back to green next to the green D-Link logo. I can not get the power icon/button to blink orange. I have timed it exactly 20 seconds after unplugging, pushing the reset button in, plugging the power back in and waiting 5 seconds. release and its green.

And that's what I get when trying to access the emergency room.

Any help?

If your using WRT, I believe there is some IPv6 stuff there however I would recommend going to the WRT sight for help on that if you have this loaded on your router.

Could we please soon have this nice firmware for DIR-615 H1 too?  :-)

CRAPPY firmware from D-Link... the DCHP server setup sucks.

You need to ask that question over on the WRT site.
If your devices isn't working then pose your problem here and lets see if we can help, if not then RMA or return the unit.

I just bricked my DIR-615D3 with the latest firmware 12-20-11-r18024, I'd strongly suggest avoiding it. All the LAN ports have stopped working, I can see that the internet connection works but I can't connect to it since I had the wireless disabled beforehand. Tried resetting it back for factory settings, no help.

I was using 12-09-11-r17990 before this and it worked just fine, no clue why I was so anxious to update it to the latest again...

Any idea how this could be resolved?

EDIT: Used the Emergency Web Room to revert back to the factory firmware and then upgraded back to 12-09-11-r17990 and it's working fine again. Would suggest putting a warning on the front page for people not to use the r18024 one.

r18007 and below works, r18024 will disable LAN ports. You don't have to go to the emergency web room to revert back however. Just flashing another firmware than r18024 through WiFi will do the trick.

That's the thing, my WiFi was disabled because I wasn't using it. I had no other way of flashing the firmware, unless there's some button on the router that turns the WiFi on manually?

Hello, I just purchased a DIR-615 Ver E3 Firmware 5.10 from Compusa. After a few tries I managed to install DD-WRT, thanks to the comment from PIBOY on this thread's page 3. I obviously installed a quite old version of DD-WRT (build r14929 from 8/12/2010). It works and I have wireless, wired, etc working so far so good. I used the emergency room procedure to install it and that worked after a few tries (Chrome doesn't work so I tried both with internet explorer and firefox, ie worked).

I have two questions:
1. I only see 150 mbps on the connected laptops. Can I get to 300, and how?
2. Should I install a later version of DD-WRT? Which DD-WRT build is stable after the one I have?

Thanks for any comments!
Lord Lovaduck.

(Here's the correct link to the firmware: ftp://dd-wrt.com/others/eko/BrainSlayer-V24-preSP2/2010/08-12-10-r14929/dlink-dir615e3/dir615e3-factory-to-ddwrt-firmware.bin).

I want to get 2 of those and get repeater bridge working on them.
