ftp within network only

hi my CCTV sends files to my nas via ftp,
photo.scr and info.zip keeps appearing on nas,
i have disabled ftp run Norton Norton removed threats.
is there a way to use the nas ftp within my network so the CCTV recorder can send files to the nas as i have read the photo.scr and info.zip files come from unsecured ftp.
its all a bit confusing . any help would be great.
