Turn off MyDlink for ShareCenter
« on: May 21, 2014, 10:43:27 AM »

I've searched for an hour but can't find the answer to this.
I have a DNS 320L and I want to completely block remote access to it. In MyDlink there's an option to remove the device, but it says the device will be reset to factory, which I don't want to do.
There's an option in MyDlink to delete the account, but it won't delete it if there's a device attached to the account.

Is there any way I can completely block remote access without factory resetting the device?

Thanks

I've reached out to D-Link to validate.

In either case, a factory reset remove all user settings (e.g. shares, user accounts, network configuration, etc.) and should not impact your stored data or HDD configuration. You can save a Configuration Settings file to restore the deleted user settings following a factory reset.

Yes, it worked. I saved the Configuration file, deleted the device in MyDlink, deleted my account on MyDlink, logged back into the NAS and loaded the Configuration again. After a reboot, all is good. Thanks again :)

Hello.

Does this command stops mydlink:
/mydlink/opt.local stop
?

Probably it's possible to remove mydlink launch from start-up scripts? By the way, what are these scripts?
