Dir 505 - slower speed in repeater mode
« on: August 01, 2014, 01:14:47 AM »

So I got this device since its small and has several functions. I tested the repeater mode with a 3g modem, the 505 was 10 meters from the modem and no walls etc.

With the modem I was getting 3 Mbps, the 505 managed 1,4Mbps. This with the latest 1.08 firmware. Is this what to be expected?

I have some other repeaters that are bulkier, but they dont cut the speed by 50%.
