Windows 7 Pro IP Addressing Issue Please Assist
« on: October 05, 2010, 07:42:57 PM »

Here is the deal

My EBR 2310 Revision A2 is not giving my computer a valid IP.

I connect the router directly to my computer with Ethernet and all i keep getting is 169.254.xx.xx range.

It seems to me like windows 7 is not recognizing the router has a router.

I tried the following connection Modem>router>computer and it works on the internet.

However my default gateway with this configuration is my modem and not my router.
So basically my computer is going trough the router directly to my modem ignoring my router.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar issue and a fix.

thank you
