Wont bradcast SSID
« on: June 18, 2010, 10:26:19 PM »

Ok ive been at this for some time now. I set this router up for some people i know and just recently the SSID has dissapeared. I cant see it from any computer. Im sure its not hidden but i ran some scans for nearby networks just to make sure. All seems fine router wise, ive ran auto set up and have configured everything manually using different network IEEE standards but its still invisible/not connectible.

Lan works perfectly fine.

Any ideas?

Please test without any firewalls / anti-virus active.  These two software types can block the SSID.  I have previous seen Norton software list the SSID as an untrusted network

The best possible answer is to start from scratch. Do a hard reset and configure the router step by step.  It doesn't hurt to take your time.  In my experience, when I rush I make some mistakes.

I hope this helps:)
