Hello,
I am trying to fix a cctv camera using fibre optic cable. I have a 1224T dlink switch at one end and the camera connected by single mode fibre optic cable 250m away.
I had hoped to use a dmc-700sc converter but noticed it was multi mode but unable to order for the dmc-810sc in time for the client. Am told that is what would be ideal.
I am considering using 2 media converters of either DMC-515SC, DMC-530SC or DMC-560SC at either end that it will work although they are each 100base yet the switch is 1000base.
That is, I connect on converter at the camera end and the other at the switch. Is it so?
Please advise.
