Ok, loaded v1.08 and put my 880L online. Looks promising.

Need to check to edit and reservation settings at a later time to see if users can make changes and add more reservations.
Need to check gaming and NAT status in games with two game consoles online at the same time.

QoS is not configured at this time.
SC enabled for WiFi.
My DCS-933L and NEST report incorrectly being on a wired connection when they are wreless connected on 2.4Ghz. My iPhone 6P and Mac Book Pro report being connected to Wireless 5Ghz though.

So far things are looking good with v1.08. I was able to change and save device names and save new IP addresses reservations in the UI at a later time frame.  ;D
I haven't hit the reservation limit yet.  ::)

QoS seems to be working ok. I notice if the device put in the priority section saves, however if the devices is turned off, the listing disappears then reappears when the device is turned back on. Not sure if this is correct behavior. Need to do more testing on this.

Using 2 XB1s online at the same time shows OPEN NAT in the XB1 dashboard network settings, however in game BO3 showed Open NAT for 1 console and Moderate NAT for the 2nd console. Gaming seem to be good. One XB! was placed in Highest and the 2 was placed in High. I can get OPEN NAT on both XB1s in BO3 if I use a DIR-655 Rev B v2.11 and his QoS settings. I'm hoping that D-Link and improve the 8XXL QoS engine a bit more for gaming. Please.  :)

Wireless and SC seems to be good. Problems seem fixed that were seen in v1.07:

Any reason this isn't available on the US site?

I presume USA does more testing and development after it comes to the USA site. Once USA does there thing then they'll post it officially. Otherwise, it's OK to use in mean time in the NA region. You can revert back to prior version if needed.  ;)

Other than some gaming issues for multiple game consoles. Looking way better than prior versions.

I am waiting for FW v1.08 WW to appear on the D-Link USA Support Page.  When I see it there, I'll upgrade to it for sure, unless there's a reason I should wait and I'm not seeing an issues and problems pertaining to me.

Ok. Not sure if or when it will appear. I'm hoping it will. I loaded it and seems way better than prior versions IMO. If your net seeing any issues then you'll be ok. If you get a wild hair, you can upgrade then if you see issues, you can always go back to v1.07.  ;)

I upgraded to FW-1.08 from the Russian site.  Now when I check for firmware updates via the router's GUI, does my router check for updates at the Russian D-Link site or USA D-Link site ? ? ?

I wouldn't worry about update servers. I think there maybe a regional one for each region. I wouldn't worry about updates.
I recommend checking the USA and Canada sites initially as they are the NA region and doing manual FW updates when appropriate.

I have tried the 1.08WW update and it seems to work fine so far except for the Dynamic DNS feature (Manual setting) which will not connect to my dnsomatic.com service.

I have just enabled the Quick VPN recently and its working great ; it connects up to my iPhone 6, my Win 10 desktop and my Win 10 Laptop using the L2TP over IPSEC protocols ; I did not use the file save option here; I just entered the info manually into my devices (id, pswd, PSK key).

I wonder if the dns service isn't supported on the FW. Not sure about it.
Does this help any? http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=2693.0 (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=2693.0)

Glad the rest is working good for you.

re: dnsomatic

I tried the settings mentioned in messages you mentioned but it doesn't  connect or even try to connect.

It apparently works for the 655 and other modems for dnsomatic.

Thanks.

I can't only think that the FW doesn't support that DNS service... :-\

So this just came out today on the US site, and all seems to be well so far with the upgrade. I'm really liking the small GUI changes, like the status page showing you whether a client is on the 2.4 GHz or 5GHz band, as well as signal strength, even if it is only bars.

However, I REALLY want them to put in an ability to see what UPnP ports are being used. I can turn it on and off, but cannot view what ports are being forwarded using it and where to.

I do have a question though: What do the new WPS options mean? There's WPS-PBC Status, and WPS-PIN Status. They both defaulted to on, so I turned them off, does that mean WPS is disabled now?

Yes, when they are disabled WPS is fully OFF.
