[1.06] System Temperature: 32°F / 0°C
« on: May 28, 2009, 11:38:55 PM »

Hello all,

I am running firmware 1.06 on my DNS-323 and I have 2 1TB Hitachi Deskstar 7K1000 drives inside. My problem is that I don't see the system temperature, all I see in the Status page is:

System Temperature: 32°F / 0°C

That is definitely wrong  :) After I reboot the NAS, temperature shows correctly for a while but then it reverts back to the 0 value. Any idea what's wrong ? Temperature sensor gone bad ?

Regards,
Sylaan

Possibly but I would try reflashing your units firmware and restoring it to defaults.

Reconfiguring everything is gonna be a mess, I would really like to avoid that. I was thinking of upgrading to 1.08 though.

I had a problem with the unit cutting out after going to ver 1.06, it appears they raised/changed the temp settings on the higher firmwares and it has a conflict with user settings.  I went in to set the temp and it said the temp was invalid because they changed the range, I enter the new lowest number and all is good, upgraded to 1.07 and all is good still.
