Stability for wired and wireless obviously.
The ability to keep the led on all of the time, like an on off switch in the web browser.
Did I mention stability?

Remember the old days where you plugged routers in for years not days without a reboot?

Better documentation, ideally a configurator to implement solutions that span multiple screens, e.g., VPN set-up.

It was easy in DI-624 as you could open ports/protocols in the firewall, e.g., for VPN/PPTP/GRE.  I've yet to figure out (s. separate topic) how to accomplish the same with DIR-855

Increase the number of MAC addresses in the filtering. With iPhones, iPads, Laptops, Desktops, two kids in college and their friends, each with the same collection of hardware, only 24 addresses go way too quickly.

You can check out the DGL-4500 forum. There is a user requests and bug threat there thats been going for a while now.

Mods are watching the forums. Trust me, they are.

I agree with this, I badly need more Slots. Would be nice to have all the following with unlimited slots:

Virtual Server
Port Forwarding
Application Rules
QoS Engine
Network Filter
Website Filter

I think unlimited is a must for all modern routers. After all they already have it implemented in some of their products, such as the DGL-4500: http://www.support.dlink.com/emulators/dgl4500/121NA/MAC_Address_Filter.html ;D
