assign a static IP (not a reserve) to a connected client
« on: April 30, 2019, 07:25:02 AM »

Pulling my hair out....how can I assign a static ip to a connected client in a DIR-890L (ver 1.20)?  Everything I see shows IP reservation.  I tried that route but get max DHCP reservation message.  Sooooooooo??  Stuck in a loop is what this feels like.

Link>Welcome!

  • What region are you located?

Static IP addresses are set ON devices, not with in the router. Reservations are set ON the router, not on devices.
DHCP
IP address pool should be 192.168.0.100 thru .200. Anything on either side of this pool can be used for static IP address assigned devices.
