Title: assign a static IP (not a reserve) to a connected client
Post by: isrdude on April 30, 2019, 07:25:02 AM
Pulling my hair out....how can I assign a static ip to a connected client in a DIR-890L (ver 1.20)?  Everything I see shows IP reservation.  I tried that route but get max DHCP reservation message.  Sooooooooo??  Stuck in a loop is what this feels like.

Static IP addresses are set ON devices, not with in the router. Reservations are set ON the router, not on devices.
DHCP (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=58017.0)
IP address pool should be 192.168.0.100 thru .200. Anything on either side of this pool can be used for static IP address assigned devices.
