What a truly poorly executed product. Nothing ever works correctly. Still getting 90% false motion detection with 15% sensitivity at certain parts of the day when the camera constantly refocuses. Sensitivity is set so low that it doesn't pick up actual motion when someone walks to the door at times. Just ridiculous.
Tech support has been useless.  Always say they will call back with a solution and have not followed through one time.

Still can't play back video clips on iPhone through the D-link app for any of my three cameras. Just terrible.

I worked with tech support and they sent a refurbished 936L and it has the exact same issues as the original. It is detecting motion constantly even with the sensitivity set below 10%. I have 2-942L and 1 960L cameras which work great in the same place. The 936L just will not work in low-light scenarios. It appears that the video compression is creating patches in the image that are triggering motion detection.

Thanks for the feed back and info. I'll pass this on to D-Link for review.

I presume for now that motion detection should not be used.

"I presume for now that motion detection should not be used."

Rendering the camera useless as a security device.

I recommend that if you 936L is not working for you, then a replacement would be needed of a different model camera. This issue will need to be reviewed by D-Link support.

I've passed this on to D-Link for review.

I've passed info to D-Link for review. I hope they will have a look. We may need some more information to help them reproduce this issue. placement, time frames of false alarms and camera configurations. I'll let you know.
