D-View Cam not showing picture from camera
« on: March 02, 2010, 09:00:15 AM »

Installed D-View Cam on a faster server and it detects the cameras and all the setup is ok but I get no pictures from the cameras.  I set up motion detection and it will notify me of motion but still no pictures.  The setup on the other server works fine.  HELP!!! ??? I am running MS Server 2003 64 edition with a core 2 duo 3.1GHz processor with 8 gigs of Ram.  Have 3 DCS 5300G and 2 5200

Is the PC D-ViewCam software part of a domain network? Is it running any anti-virus software?

Still waiting for a reply on my reply.  Could the antivirus be stopping it even though we have the same antivirus on the other machine and it worked great.  I have made sure all the video codecs and everything is right but still no picture.  Thanks for your help.

AVG should work ok as long as the software is properly allowing the the D-ViewCam application. Also this application is not designed for a domain network environment so this may be the root cause of the issue.
