dsr 1000n ipsec/l2tp certificate authentication setup
« on: May 28, 2014, 04:47:53 PM »

Hi all

I have a dsr 1000n with ipsec/ l2tp setup using shared key authentication, its working perfectly. I would like to switch from shared key to certificate based authentication so i have created my own cert with an app called simple authority but only get invalid cert when uploading to the router . I did create a self certificate from the router but there is no submit button, anybody done this as i cant find any doco from dlink to help me work this out, i am upgrading from the 08 firmwre to 09 this week maybe its broken in 08 fw

Thanks
Wayne

Link>Welcome!

  • What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
  • Link>What Firmware version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
  • What region are you located?

Is there any information regarding this in the User Manual? If not, I recommend that you phone contact your regional D-Link support office and ask for help and information regarding this. We find that phone contact has better immediate results over using email.
Let us know how it goes please.
