DSR-250N Slow when logging is enabled
« on: May 17, 2016, 09:31:42 PM »

Does anyone else notices significant slowness with the DSR-250N when logging is enabled? I've experienced slowness with both the router web interface and internet speeds. Once I disabled logging performance went back to normal. Have latest to now Firmware v2.11 for Rev.A2 installed.

  • What region are you located?
  • Are you wired or wireless connected to the router?
  • Has a Factory Reset been performed?
  • Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch?

  • Was the router working before any firmware updates?

Can you take a capture of your internet speeds before and after using logging and post them here in the forums?

Hi FurryNutz

What region are you located? Australia
Are you wired or wireless connected to the router? Tried both wired and wireless
Has a Factory Reset been performed? Yes
Was a Factory Reset performed before and after any firmware updates then set up from scratch? Yes, Also I got the same result on another DSR-250N that I had in stock as a spare

Was the router working before any firmware updates? Yes but I was having trouble with network connectivity with a site-to-site vpn as described in the following forum post so had to upgrade firmware to resolve this issue.

I think this needs to be reviewed by D-Link support. Seems to be an issue here. I would contact them on the phone for your region and refer to this thread for there review...Let us know how it goes.
