Hi. I have a Dlink dir-601 router, and sometimes I like to play online games where I need my internet to be estable, but, lately, my brother is always downloading stuff or streaming videos and my ping goes up a lot. My internet is not that fast, only 1MB, but without anyone using it, my ping is extremly low and I can play without any problem.
My question is: How do I limit my network bandwidth via the config on "192.168.0.1"?
Thx!
EDIT: PLZZZZZ answer me :( I can't stand this lack of internet =[

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=48135.0)
- What Hardware version is your router? Look at sticker under router.
- Link>What Firmware (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=47512.0) version is currently loaded? Found on the routers web page under status.
- What region are you located?
Internet Service Provider and Modem Configurations
- What ISP Service do you have? Cable or DSL?
- What ISP Modem Mfr. and model # do you have?
- Is ISP Modem/Service using Dynamic or Static WAN IP addressing?
- What ISP Modem service link speeds UP and Down do you have?
I'm not sure if this particular router has the ability to do this.
Do you have custom QoS option under Advanced/QoS as seen in this link?

If not, I would recommend getting into a DIR series router with some custom QoS rules that you can effect this by using prioritization as seen in the link.
