I'm pretty sure I found the answer to this question once; but I can't find it now, so I apologize for asking again:

When I check the firmware version in the DIR-645's Web page, Tools/Firmware tab, it reports only 1.06.  There have been several builds and beta builds of this firmware version, the latest official one being (I believe) "DIR-645_REVA_FIRMWARE_PATCH_v1.06B01_BETA02".

My question is, how can one determine which exact build/beta is actually installed in one of these routers?

If you open a command line window, I believe if you type in the routers IP address then put version.txt after it, it should reveal actual version installed.

Furry -- Not sure this is what you mean, but no joy:

"C:\>192.168.0.1 version.txt

This reports "Authenication fail", presumably because the router has an admin password set.  Is there a way to incorporate the router login into that command line?

On a different browser tab, log into the routers web page normally with your log info.
Then re-run that URL link again...
