Firmware 2.00.05 has been released.
NOTE: If the camera gets updated to v2.x.x, you can no longer install the camera using mydlink Lite app. All the features will still be avaiable but if you reset your camera back to factory default settings, you will need to use the mydlink app to reinstall it. The mydlink Lite app will still work normally, just not install from scratch.
This firmware can only be updated through the mydlink app (not mydlink Lite). The mydlink app is now available at google play or apple app store. Click here (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?board=597.0) for more information on the mydlink app.
Release Notes:
New Features
1. Update mydlink agent to v3.0.0-b44 Support LED on/off
2. Support for mydlink app - Cloud Recording features
3. Supports Alexa
4. Supports Google Assistant

I have a dcs-5222L working on Home Assistent (hassio) as a generic camera with the following configuration:
camera:
- platform: mjpeg
mjpeg_url: http: // user: passs@ip/video2.mjpg
I bought the dcs 8000LH and I can not see the video.
I just saw a photo of when you open the Home Assistent with the following setup:
camera:
- platform: mjpeg
mjpeg_url: http: //user:pass@ip/image/jpeg.cgi
How do I put the dcs-8000LH to run as dcs5222L?
I have now updated dcs-8000lh with firmware 2.00.05 and can no longer see anything or use any cgi commands
someone help me please.
thank you

Hello, can anyone tell me the default password for the local http (port 8088) ?
I upgraded to the new firmware ( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'() and it ask me for user and password!!!
Also it doesn't work with mydlink website. It's so bad (I regret and I've just bought it to use as ip camera inside my lan....)

Unfortunately this camera will not support VLC or any 3rd party video/audio streaming (including from a browser) with the 2.x.x firmware. Password is randomly generated but cannot be viewed in the app. ::)
I am trying to see if there is a recovery mode to get firmware 1.xx back on.

BUt since the video goes out from the camera there must be a port for streaming that we can intercpt ? Or not ?

I was told by D-Link headquarters that firmware 2.x.x removed the ability to stream video/audio with direct URLs.
I know with the newer line of consumer cameras (dcs-8xxxLH) they improved security and tightened things up. I am sure that is the reasoning. The source code for v2.00.05 was released a few months ago. Hopefully someone will figure it out and post on here.

This is totaly bulls***. This camera costs 5 times what a chinese digoo or xiaomi camera costs.
Those at least work, have rtsp, reconect when they loose wifi.
