Thanks for the info. Remember this is regional FW and should only be used in the EU region.

Enjoy.

Is it also  upgradeable from fw. 2.11. of a hardware B2 with a middle.bin?

What Hardware version is your router? Rev B or A?
What region are you located?

Hardware version of my router is B2 and I am located in Europe. I was experimenting and downloaded the newest firmware from a Taiwan d-link site for hw bx which is a firmware update made up from two parts. First a firmware named middle bin than the other one 2.11 if I am right.

There should be only one .bin file to use to upgrade the router. Nothing related to middle would be used on these routers.

Thanks for your reply. I may be wrong but I am including a link to a Taiwan's D-Link website which includes the before mention information for a d-link 600 with a middle.bin file. It is for a h.w. B1 which is if I am right compatible with H.W. B2.

You could give it a try however be aware that it maybe region specific FW and if you load it, might not be in English or have English Web Page UI.

if i remember well middle version is useful only for updates lower than v2.10 (like 2.03/2.05/2.06)...

I'm looking for new firmware also, my rev is Hardware Version : Bx    Firmware Version : 2.02

Try with latest after a check in router, that told me I got the latest.

BUT my wireless is one day I can connect and another day its not able to connect.

I tryed to use DIR-600_fw_revB_2-16b05_all_en_20130610, but been told after a try its not a compatible f/w

I'm located in sweden and ISP from local fibre company

Any hints on this one?

Link>Welcome! (http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=41537.0)

Is your Rev B1, B2 or B5?

For Rev B1 or B2, v2.16 is listed as supporting those versions.
For Rev B5, v2.15 is supporting of that version only.

If you choose to update, please follow this:

as I can see on the package, its a B2, can you point me in the right direction for this f/w.

That Bx is from the gui and there also firmware version 2.02, but on the box my router was in, can I read B2.

I've dl DIR-600_fw_revB_2-16b05_all_en_20130610 but this was not the right one, I got a message on router when I update, "this firmware is not supported..."

fw_revB_2-16b05 does this one is for revB_2 or for B5?

Thank you for fast reply!!!

Ok, I'm thinking that there maybe some confusion between v2.1x and v2.0x FW and Rev B2 routers.

I'd like you try this, go here:
http://tsd.dlink.com.tw (http://tsd.dlink.com.tw)
Select DIR and 600 from the two download drop down menus. Find the Firmware: DIR-600 B2 FW v2.03 for WW
Unpack the zip file and follow the FW update process. Let us know if it will update. Use this version only.

I,ve read that and the settings where there, I dl it before upgrade if something happen here.

I will run on this f/w for a few days before I do anything more.

I'll be back if its not working, but as I can see, the router work more faster then before, thats a good point and a good start.

I will try to see if the wireless still be active after a few hours, but as I can see, nothing of my wireless have been drop of yet

I can tell you, wireless working better, no disconnect after upgrade f/w, GUI working much faster and all looks good.

Thank you for your help.

but before I got help here I mailed dlink and ask them for f/w

they tells me that I should use DIR-600_fw_revB_2-16b05_all_en_20130610.zip, that one is not a valid f/w for my DIR-600, so pass this to for better help next time, my case have nr "D-Link Case Number 1074466‏"

Glad it's working better for you...Ya, not sure if v2.16 is for Rev B or if it is, why isn't not applying correctly. Keep whats loaded for now.

Enjoy.
