Anyone upgrade firmware to 1.25NA (12/28/10)
« on: December 29, 2010, 10:22:38 AM »

Not wanting to be the guineau pig here. I see that firmware revision 1.25NA was posted yesterday. Has anyone made the switch and was it bug free?
The reason they gave for the new version was to delete SecureSpot.
I'm at v 1.22.
The router has been working good for me (only had it four days though). Good wireless coverage in a three story building - router at top level and can use it on the bottom floor(2.5GHz).
I must say the setup was VERY confusing. Fortunately my daughter has set up a variety of wireless routers and came by to help with a manual installation, including WPA and MAC filtering. The software based auto setup(CD) did not work. Otherwise I would have been lost.

I tried to go from 1.13 to this release and all seemed to go well but the version showing on the admin window is still 1.13 so I would assume it didnt update it... :-\

I had to install the 1.25NA update twice.  The second time, it worked.  The router now shows that it is running 1.25NA.

I will post my results after a couple of weeks.  The original firmware (1.22) that came with my DIR-628 needed to be rebooted every couple of days.
