Title: 5.2.0 freezes
Post by: DaanBogers on January 31, 2020, 04:42:04 PM
So I just installed D viewcam 5.2.0, and when I select a camera or try to move a camera the software crashes and restarts.
I reinstalled the software, didn't work. I also updated another PC that was running 4.x.x just fine to 5.2.0 and it has the same issue; When I try to select a camera the software just stops immediately.

This must be a real bug. Any tips to this?

Running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit, software is running with admin right.

Can you try a different Windows 10 PC to see if problem follow?

Be sure all back ground running programs are exited.
Be sure no security programs are running as well to test.

I've tested this with another PC that actually records the camera's. It has the same issue, crashes when trying to move camera images.
That other PC only runs D-Viewcam. Nothing else.

So I tested this on 2 systems. One is for real time monitoring, the other one is for recording. Both running 5.2.0.
Can anyone confirm the same issue?

I'll load up this on one of my Windows 10 PCs and see what happens.

FYI, I loaded v5.2.0 on a Windows 10 PC x64 PC yesterday. Clean install. DVC had not been installed at all prior.

After loading it up and launching the Main Console, I went in and added a DCS-933L, 936L and a 960L cameras to the console. The 936L and 960L are not officially supported by DVC so I used the DCS-942L model string to gain video access which works.

I saved the settings and went to the main console display. My 933L was the single video. I selected the 4 camera view and then all 3 cameras were seen. I selected each camera one at a time and was able to view each one separately. Then go back to the 4 camera display matrix on the main screen. These cameras don't support movement so I wasn't able to try that.

Saw no hangs or crashes.
